Batteries - ALL BATTERIES over time lose their ability to hold the same charge they did when new. There is no way to bring a battery whose battery health has declined to 85% back to new, except to replace the battery. I agree with lobsterghost1 you cannot get it to the original nominal 18 hours without a new battery.

An 80 percent battery health level should still be enough to get you through the day for most users. However, at 40 or 50 percent of battery health, things start degrading really rapidly.

I charge it via fast charging about 70% of the time and every once in a while when I visit my parents, I use my old slow charger, so I think that helps a bit.
Apple itself advises that you keep a battery charged between 20% and 80% for optimum performance. It’s why it warns you when your battery dips to 20% and why it introduced optimized charging
